Bob's Application

in RECRUITMENT 9 years ago

Call Sign: Bobthethurd(I'm guessing you mean my name online.)

Age: 27 on the 18th

Internet: Cable

Timezone: GMT -6 Central Standard Time

Availability:  Most days noon to 2AM, but not tuesday nights.

Hours: Probably a couple hundred in the A-10, thirty or forty in UH-1H, about ten now in the Gazelle. Another twenty or so between TF-51 and SU-25T.

Editor: Very meager experience. Mostly I just put down targets in interesting places to use for practice and figuring out what I should and should not engage in different aircraft.

Ride: The Gazelle is everything that is good about everything, and if you disagree we'll fight. Like men.

Expectations: Just looking for people to play with. If you guys are more into hardcore simulation that just makes things better. I love learning proper procedure, though my radio discipline is probably off since my Arma 2 ACE days, if it was ever on to begin with.

Hi bob and welcome to BSD.

yes, we meant your callsign, not your real name indeed. Thanks for your presentation. It's interresting to see that we are getting people into rotorheads thanks to the Gazelle and not the usual Kamov (that said, we have pilots here flying exclusively the Mi8).

Putting down some targets in the ME is often the only thing required to start a good mission. You should be able to propose your first mission in no time.

We are looking at making flights as immersive as possible without turning off people from flying by being ultra hardcore. So procedures and proper use of brievety are seeked (might take a little bit more practise for some of us but we are all here to learn from the others). We are lucky to have some real life military pilots in our ranks so, once they are done bitching about who is best between army, air force and navy, they are giving pretty good advices. :).

I am traveling this week until thursday. I am usually setting up a quick intro flight for newcomers to get to know them, but since I'll be a bit busy this month traveling, feel free to enrol in any mission that other members are setting up and I'll get their feedback about you anyway. Once your first flight done, and assuming you like the way we are flying here, you'll become a trainee until you propose a mission for the community. A that point you'll become a full member of BSD.

    Welcome Bob!

As Bad said immersive as possible but not so super hard core. We all have a good time and its just fun. Let me know what night you would be free and I can set up a intro flight for you.

    Welcome Bob,

It's good to see that we have some more people flying the gazelle, especially since it is a very frustrating aircraft to fly. But diversity is good in this community so I think you should be just fine.

also Bad we all know that the Army trains the best helicopter pilots in the world, Just saying

Here all day, actually flying with a buddy who says he's part of the group too, shall we?

Didn't know until a couple minutes ago Blackjack was in this. Listening to him fiddle around with the Mig 21

Yep Blackjack sure is. Small world huh? I can run a mission today but I do not have the Gazelle so I would be in a KA-50. Ya'll let me know I'll start a server. Blackjack can give you the TS info or I'll PM it to you.

EDIT: I do not have the permissions to post a mission on the site so lets just get on TS and I'll run it for anyone that can come in.
